Liz Bird, Faculty Assistant Registrar, is retiring after 29 years

Liz (Faculty Assistant Registrar for the Faculty of Science) has decided to retire at the end of July after 29 years here at the University.

To celebrate her long and distinguished career, we will be holding a retirement reception on Friday 26 July at 3pm in the Claverton Rooms (in the old SCR area. Please note – this is a slightly later time than originally advertised.

Liz started as the School Secretary in the then School of Chemistry in April 1984, having previously worked at Frome Selwood Middle School.

A move to the School of Education as Administrative Assistant in March 1987 followed (the post subsequently being retitled as School Administrator).

Liz took up the new role of Faculty Executive Assistant in the new Faculty of Science from September 1997, becoming Faculty Assistant Registrar in August 2010.

We very much hope Liz’s friends and colleagues will be able to join us to mark Liz’s retirement and if you are able to do so, please let Emma Perry (E.Perry@bath.ac.uk) know for catering purposes.

A card is available to sign with Emma in Wessex House 3.34.
