Seed funding for Public Engagement with research projects

The Public Engagement Unit are pleased to open our first call for seed funding for public engagement with research projects.

These are awards (£250 to £2000 per application) for academics at the University to undertake public engagement with research and to contribute to the development of engaged research culture within the University.

There will be two standard calls, this one and another in May 2014, along with a sandpit in Spring 2014.

This call is open to any member of staff in the Research and Education job family (any discipline or career stage) who is looking to engage the public with research.

Activities could include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing innovative engagement with your research
  • Extending previous engagements, such as to a new audience
  • Sharing engagement skills and learning across disciplines or Faculties
  • Small-scale pilots of engagement activities to evaluate what works and does not for all involved

The call closes at 5pm on Wednesday 23 October 2013.

For further information and a simple application form, see the short call document here.
