Do you have a graduation story to tell?

Have you, or a student you know, had to overcome challenges or personal difficulty to graduate this winter? Do you have an unusual, inspiring or heart-warming story to tell?

The University Press Office is looking for moving, unique or unusual stories to help publicise and celebrate our graduations.

Previous stories which have captured the attention of our local media include: Victoria Otten, full time carer and mum of three who completed a Coach Education & Sport Development degree; and and Alan Radford, an 86 year-old education expert who became the oldest person at the University to receive a degree.

Other stories we have featured can be found in related links.

If you, a friend or a student you teach has an interesting story alongside their academic achievement and you’d like to share it with the local media, we would love to hear from you.

Please contact Alison Jones by email or call ext 6986, with a summary of the story and contact details, so we can discuss it with you further.
