No IT services - 6am till 6pm on Sat 25 Jan

All University IT services (including telephones) will be unavailable on Saturday 25 January 2014, 6am to 6pm, due to the need to carry out urgent essential maintenance.

All services which connect to the University network will be affected.

What this means:

  • It will not be possible to log on to the University network on any device (pc, laptop, tablet, mobile phone) whether you are on campus or working remotely
  • All University webpages will be unavailable.
  • You will have no access to email (including Webmail)
  • You will not be able to use Moodle and other eTools including SAMIS, iTrent, Agresso, ESS, etc
  • You will not be able to print via the University network
  • Internet-based phones (VOIP) will not work

This applies both on and off campus, including at the Holburne Museum and Carpenter House.

If you do find services available during this time, please consider these 'at risk' as they could become unavailable without warning.

This disruption is to enable Estates to undertake urgent work to replace a dangerously damaged electrical supply.

Updates about services will be posted on twitter @BUCSNews.

If you have any concerns due to this maintenance, please contact

We apologise for any disruption this may cause.
