New public engagement awards

The call for nominations for two new awards relating to excellent practice in Public Engagement with Research is now open.

The Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement with Research and the Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Prize for Public Engagement with Research will both be annual prizes.

They will be made in recognition of an individual academic and a postgraduate researcher from the University who has made an outstanding contribution in this area.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell said: “I am delighted to announce these new awards which will formally recognise the positive work that many of our academics and postgraduates undertake to include the public in their research and learning.

“Interactions between the public and our research have many benefits for our researchers, their research and the public. This is something that we greatly value in Bath, and I hope this will be reflected in the number of applications received.”

Prize details and nomination forms are available online.

If you have any questions, please contact the Public Engagement Unit.

Completed nomination forms should be submitted to no later than 5pm on Wednesday 12 March 2014. Prizes will be awarded at the Summer Graduation Ceremonies.
