Welcoming our new students to campus

On Saturday and Sunday our new students arrived on campus to begin their studies with us.

Induction can be both an exciting and daunting time, and we want to make sure they feel welcome and supported from the moment they step on to campus.

Staff and current students from across the University will be working together to deliver a programme of talks and events aimed at introducing them to life at Bath.

Even if you’re not directly involved in Induction events, we all have a role to play in making our new arrivals feel welcome and help them settle in, both academically and socially.

In case you need to answer queries from new students, we have created a webpage containing information that we hope will be useful.

These first experiences we offer our students are something we can be proud of, and I was delighted that Bath was ranked as one of the UK’s ‘most welcoming universities’ in a recent Higher Expectations survey.

Thank you to all of those who work so hard in planning and running the week, and I know it will be demanding, but I hope you’ll also enjoy it.
