New digital signage system for campus

You may have noticed new plasma screens on campus. Over the summer, a unified digital signage system has been installed in The Chancellors’ Building, the Sports Training Village, 1 West, the Faculty of Humanities & Social Science and at the bus stop, with more screens to be added soon.

The system, called OneLan, means that you can now get your messages out to your department or across campus more easily and quickly.

The main benefits of the new system are immediate publishing, dynamic displays - including scrolling text, newsfeeds and video - no paper waste or printing costs and the ability to target messages to particular screens at a particular time.

The 25 screens are one of a number of initiatives planned to improve communications, something you highlighted in the Staff Survey.

If you would like to have your content displayed on the screens, please send it to Before doing so, please take a look at the Guidelines for Content Providers.
