Accessibility further improved

The University is delighted to announce new materials that will help us ensure that those with any access issues can find their way more effectively around our campus.  These have been developed in partnership with Disabled-Go who are the national leaders in this field and are available here.

Ten route plans identify routes across campus, with relevant accessibility information and photos.  Additionally, under ‘Campus facilities’, details of all lifts, stairs, parking and other accessibility features are shown (often supported with photos).  This is for all buildings on campus, except the newest, which will be added later in 2015.

Please familiarise yourself with this excellent resource if it is helpful to you and so that you can draw the attention of other staff, students and visitors to it. It may be helpful to include a link to the resource when arranging Open Days, for example.  If you have any queries, or ideas for its future development, please contact the Equality and Diversity Adviser, David Skidmore
