Bath subject areas named in world top 100

Four subjects at the University of Bath have been ranked in the top 100 in the world according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject, published today (Tuesday 22 March).

Development Studies is ranked in the top 50, whilst Architecture/Built Environment, Business & Management, and Social Policy & Administration are all placed in the top 100.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject evaluated 4,226 universities across the world and this year’s ranking features a record 42 subjects, six more than the previous year.

Development Studies ranked 44th out of 424 in the world, retaining its position in the world top 50 for the second year running.

This latest ranking is further confirmation of the University of Bath’s growing global standing amongst the world’s elite institutions.

Bath is the highest ranked university of its age in Europe and most recently was named in the world’s top 100 ‘most international’ universities.

Professor Peter Lambert, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) commented: “We are delighted to have four subject areas recognised as being in the world top 100. These results further confirm our growing international reputation for excellent teaching and world-leading research, and highlight the University of Bath as one of the world’s elite higher education institutions.”
