Thanks for your part in Staff Survey

Dear colleagues,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to give their views in this year’s Staff Survey.

I am pleased say that 2,378 of us took part, 75% of core staff, which gives us a very robust set of data to base our decisions and actions on. You also raised £2,301 for charities.

It was heartening to see how many colleagues got involved, in particular departments like Estates where double the number of staff took part, with 134 responses compared to 67 last time, Economics 35 compared to 10 and PoLIS, 59 up from 33.

You can see the response rates for each department on the Staff Survey web pages. Please note these figures include variable hours teaching staff.

Capita will now start the task of creating the first overall report for the University, which we will share in early June along with the major themes that emerge and what we plan to do in response.

These will be followed by results for each department, with the opportunity to discuss them with your colleagues and plan your actions in response as a department.

Again, thank you for your contributions and I will keep you updated as we progress.

Best wishes,

Professor Jonathan Knight
Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research)
