Dame Glynis presents the 2016 Staff Recognition Award to Saiyada Fazal, from the Careers Service

The Staff Recognition Award is made annually to members of staff, other than academics, who have shown initiative, innovation, creativity and who have worked beyond the call of duty to the benefit of the University.

The award is presented at an evening event which also recognises long-serving members of staff (15, 20, 25, 30, 35 & 40 years), together with retiring staff.

This year, there were two excellent nominations that the committee could not decide between, because of this, two winners were chosen:  the first to an individual, the second to a team, with the awards being presented by the President & Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dame Glynis Breakwell.
