Following on from the success of the 2016 event, tomorrow we hold our second ever collaborative Department Open Day event on a weekend.
14 departments will welcome around 1,500 potential undergraduates and their families to campus, showcasing the very best of what they have in the hope that these offer-holders will make the University of Bath their first choice.
Visitors will be able to explore the departments and campus, as well attend talks on admissions, student support, finance, and student life. They will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the Sports Training Village and some accommodation options.
Feedback from visitors last year was positive, with a number of people appreciating the weekend date as it made it easier for them to attend, having other commitments on weekdays.
Commenting on last year’s Saturday Department Open Day, Mike Nicholson, Director of Student Recruitment & Admissions, said "Events like these are crucial to helping potential undergraduates choose their university and we hope to build on the success of the 2016 pilot event which was so well received."
"A huge thank you to the departments and staff who are giving up their Saturday; we can see from feedback that there is a clear need to be flexible in the dates we offer as many of those that attended were unable to get time out of school during the week, or their parents were unable to get time off work."
