Come and support your Faculty at the 3 Minute Thesis

Three minute thesis logoThree minutes is not long, but it can feel even shorter when you are attempting to summarise your PhD in front of an audience using only one slide and no props.

On Wednesday 29 March University of Bath PhD students from across the three Faculties and the School of Management will feel the pressure as they take part in the faculty heats of the Three Minute Thesis competition.

The event is open to all to attend and we urge you to come along to learn more about the research that Bath’s PhD students are involved in, and to support those from your Department or Faculty.

The following sessions will take place at the Graduate Centre, on level 2 of 4 West, directly opposite the entrance to the 4 West cafe. You may attend either one, or both:

10am - 12:30pm: Faculty of Science and School of Management

1:30pm - 4:00pm: Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences and Faculty of Engineering & Design

Each talk lasts three minutes, and each Faculty/School is judged separately. Two entries from each will be taken forward to the University of Bath final, held on 6 May at the University of Bath Festival, with the overall winner going on to represent Bath in a national level competition.
