Message from Professor Bernie Morley

Dear colleagues,

I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank you to all who played a part in making our Open Days last week a huge success.

Open Days are a unique opportunity to showcase our University and we welcomed thousands of visitors over the two days. There is very clear evidence suggesting what our visitors (and those who influence them, parents, teachers) see and experience at an Open Day has a major impact on where they prefer to study.

I am sure you will agree, the atmosphere on campus was lively and engaging and I heard a lot of positive comments from prospective students and their families.

I am always very impressed by the sheer effort of so many people working to ensure the event goes smoothly. So whether you were giving a talk, setting up in the early hours, leading a tour, staffing a stand in the Information Fair or welcoming visitors to campus, I think we can all be proud of the way we represented our University. It really is a team effort and your help and support is appreciated.

If you have any feedback about the Open Day, you can either visit the drop-in evaluation session this Wednesday (21 June) between 09.15-10.05 in Wessex House Council Chamber or e-mail the events team.

Many thanks,

Professor Bernie Morley
