New printers start arriving from today

New Sharp printers will be installed across the University starting today (10 July) with the replacement of printers in The Virgil Building. This follows the successful implementation of the service in three departments and in the Copy & Print area in The Library.

The new service offers increased resilience and more advanced technology, with larger 10 inch printer screens, and improved functions - such as the ability to preview scans, print posters and multiple copies to one sheet.

The roll out will be in three phases, completing by the end of August 2017. Information on which departments are included in each phase will be published on the UPS web page once agreed.

Before the transition in your department or building you’ll see 'coming soon' posters next to printers with the installation date for your area, along with guidance on how to print and scan. You will be sent additional information before implementation so you know what’s happening, when, and what you need to do when the service changes.

Throughout the transition you will be able to print to both Sharp and Canon printers, as long as you set the correct default printer and have print credit. For more information visit go.bath.ac.uk/ups.
