Roll out of new Print Service starts this week

The main roll out of the new Sharp printers and service across the University starts today (10 July) with the replacement of printers in The Virgil Building.

The roll out will be in three tranches:

  • 10 to 28 July
  • 31 July to 18 August
  • 21 to 30 August

Information on which departments are included in each tranche will be published on the UPS web page once agreed.

Before the transition in your department or building you’ll see 'coming soon' posters next to your printers with the installation date for your area and your department will be given a briefing document and guidance on how to print and scan.

The Sharp training team will also provide training for you and your colleagues and answer any questions you may have.

The new University Print Service (UPS) provides all staff with a personal print account. Instructions on how to add print credit to your personal account and other useful information about the service is available on the UPS web pages go.bath.ac.uk/ups.

Throughout the transition you will be able to print to both Sharp and Canon printers, as long as you set the correct default printer and, if printing from a personal account, have print credit. For more information visit go.bath.ac.uk/ups.

If you have any questions please email ups-feedback@bath.ac.uk
