New research podcast launched

The University has launched a brand new podcast, the University of Bath Thought Train, giving you a behind the scenes look at the research carried out here at Bath.

‘The Thought Train…’ brings you some of the best of the University’s research explained by the researchers who understand it best. Each episode sees a member of research staff discuss their work and how it impacts the world around us. Answering questions like ‘How can we tackle deforestation with yeast?’ and ‘How is Brexit like a lower league football match?’ so you can learn more about what your colleagues are working on.

Every episode of ‘The Thought Train…’ will be uploaded to the University of Bath Soundcloud and will be available to download for free so you can listen wherever you are. You can also listen online using your PC, tablet or mobile device.

The first episode has already been released and features Dr Benjamin Bowman from the Department for Politics, Languages & International Studies talking about the 2017 General Election, alternative voting systems and a perceived liberal bias in higher education. It has garnered over 400 listens in its first two days.
