New University printers

Over the summer the University replaced the printers across the University.

How to print to the new system, provided by Sharp

1.         In the Library the University PCs will default automatically to a print queue called UPS2.

Elsewhere in the University you can print to either UPS1 or UPS2.

2. If you usually print from your own device you will need to download the relevant print driver (see instructions at http://go.bath.ac.uk/ups).

3.  For returning students, your print credit will have transferred to the new system.

4. You can add credit to the Sharp system:

  • online via ups-topup.bath.ac.uk using your credit card, debit card or PayPal
  • or by using the Sharp cash loaders located at the rear of Level 2 in the Library.

The Sharp printers have lots of new features such as the ability to preview scanned documents before printing and to send your scans to your personal e-mail address.

All the information you need to access the print service and answers to Frequently Asked Questions can be found via this University Print Service (UPS) web page: http://go.bath.ac.uk/ups.

Your feedback on the new service would be welcomed – you can either:

a) Complete the online survey at

https://bathreg.onlinesurveys.ac.uk/ups-feedback-sept-2017

The survey will be open until 31st October 2017.

b) Complete a hard copy survey in the Library (available on the tables near the printers in the Copy and Print area.)

or

c) Email ups-feedback@bath.ac.uk
