Ken Loach to host screening of “I, Daniel Blake” at The Edge

On Monday 23 October, internationally renowned director, Bath resident and Bath City FC supporter Ken Loach will host a showing of his BAFTA and Palme d'Or winning film I, Daniel Blake at The Edge.

Following the screening at 7pm, Ken will talk about the film and lead a questions and answers session.

The film has received outstanding reviews and is, in film critic Mark Kermode’s words, both “a battle cry for the dispossessed… a polemical indictment of a faceless benefits bureaucracy” and “a celebration of the decency and kinship of ordinary people”.

This is a unique event with the proceeds going to Genesis Trust Bath foodbanks and Bath City Supporters’ Society, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the community ownership of Bath City football club.

Tickets cost £2 Standard, £10 Solidarity, £20 Solidarity ‘Plus’ (Solidarity and Solidarity 'Plus' tickets are available for those who feel able to support the provision of tickets at Standard prices for the whole community.)
