Ken Loach to host screening of “I, Daniel Blake” at Bath City Football Club

On Monday 23 October, internationally renowned director, Bath resident and Bath City FC supporter Ken Loach was to host a showing of his BAFTA and Palme d'Or winning film I, Daniel Blake at The Edge. However, the venue has now been changed to Twerton park, the home ground of Bath City FC.

The film has received outstanding reviews and is, in film critic Mark Kermode’s words, both “a battle cry for the dispossessed… a polemical indictment of a faceless benefits bureaucracy” and “a celebration of the decency and kinship of ordinary people”.

This is a unique event with the proceeds going to Genesis Trust Bath foodbanks and Bath City Supporters’ Society, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the community ownership of Bath City football club.
