ACAS talks and member consultation

Members of the USS pension scheme are receiving, this week, a letter regarding proposed changes to the scheme.

This is a formal consultation required by the Pensions Regulator. Universities UK are clear that this does not signal that employers are not open to considering alternative proposals. Talks through Acas will continue in parallel to the consultation process. If a credible and affordable alternative proposal emerges from the Acas talks then this could be introduced at a later stage.

It would also appear, due to an administrative error, that incorrect details have been provided for your local contact. If you do have specific questions locally, please direct these to Johanna Brownlow, Pensions Officer,
