Obituary – Dr Robert Holder

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Dr Robert Holder who passed away on 31 March.

Bob made an enormous contribution to the University in his time as Treasurer, Pro-Chancellor and Chair of Council between 1976 and 1986, and he will be remembered fondly by all those who worked alongside him.

He was part of a triumvirate of University Officers who helped build the fledgling University's reputation both locally and nationally and was awarded the Chancellor's Medal for his huge contribution to the University. He was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws (Hon.LLD) in 1987.

Our condolences and sympathy are with his wife, Margaret and his family and friends at this time.
