New structure for student recruitment now in operation

The University recently reviewed its approach to the recruitment of undergraduate and PGT students leading to consultation on proposals to restructure the connections between our full range of student recruitment initiatives, admissions processes and conversion activities, bringing them under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor & Provost.

The implementation phase for these new structures concluded at the end of March, and there is no longer an international student recruitment team in the International Relations Office.

In short, the key features of the new structures (which cover the recruitment of UK, EU and non-EU students) are as follows:

  • The responsibility for admissions and recruitment of all undergraduate students now resides within a single directorate: Undergraduate Admissions & Outreach.
  • Responsibility for the recruitment of PGT students has been joined with the central PGT admissions team to create another directorate: PGT Student Recruitment & Admissions.
  • The School of Management retains existing responsibilities for recruitment and admissions activity devoted to PGT students.
  • Responsibility for postgraduate research recruitment and admissions resides within the Doctoral College.

All enquiries related to student recruitment and admissions should now reflect these new structures.
