Jimmy Mearns hits 100

Jimmy Mearns, former Pharmacy Senior Lecturer and member of Senate, has just celebrated his 100th birthday.

Jimmy and his wife Margaret, who now live at St Monica’s in Bristol, will be hosting a black tie dinner for 100 invited guests to celebrate.

Former colleague Professor Richard Mawditt, said: “Jimmy is expecting the expression of best wishes from Her Majesty the Queen, who sends her regrets for the dinner invitation!

“I am sure all who knew Jimmy - and are still surviving him - will wish the Centurion hearty congratulations and many happy years yet to come.”
