Learn how to innovate successfully

Learn how you can use innovation to improve your competitiveness and drive up your profits at a Living Innovation seminar at the University of Bath in Swindon next Tuesday (18 October).

Living Innovation is a Government initiative aimed at Britain’s businessmen and women. The seminar will include a presentation of a specially commissioned DVD which provides an insight into high profile innovators. Presented by former ITN Business Correspondent, Mark Webster, the DVD includes in-depth case studies showing ways in which British companies are creating new products, services and markets.

A discussion will follow which will give attendees the opportunity to put questions to a panel of experts. This will be chaired by Simon Bond, Director of the Innovation Centres in Bath and Swindon. To complete the event there will be three presentations by local experts and successful innovators: Derek Cheshire, Creative Business Solutions; Damon Oldcorn, founder and CEO of NicheGnat Ltd; and Will Franks, CTO of UbiquiSys Ltd.

The seminar is included as part of the Entrepreneurs South West initiative, designed to improve the knowledge and skills of local entrepreneurs and increase business performance. It is one of a series of free seminars covering a number of topics relevant to small businesses. The project is partly funded by the European Social Fund.
