University Chamber Choir - Music for Advent & Christmas

Saturday 3 December at 7.30pm | St Nicholas Church, Bathampton

The University Chamber Choir will be performing a programme of music for Advent and Christmas in the attractive surroundings of St Nicholas Church, Bathampton on Saturday 3 December, starting at 7.30pm.

The programme will include a seasonal mixture of anthems, carols and motets from across the centuries. It will include works by Palestrina, Praetorius, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Vaughan Williams and Rutter sung in no less than five different languages.

Mark Swinton, recently organist at Clifton College, will accompany the Choir and will also play music by the contemporary composer, Andrew Carter.

Tickets, costing £5, are available on the door. As usual, the Choir aims to support local fundraising and the proceeds will go towards church restoration funds.

The Choir is privileged to have been asked to sing the previous evening at the Royal United Hospital as part of the Macmillan Tree of Hope event. For further information see Related Links section.
