Student Mental Health Worker

Francis Armstrong has been appointed by the University as a Student Mental Health Worker for one half day a week (Fridays 9am - 12noon) during term.

Francis offers information, advice and support to members of staff working with students who have mental health difficulties such as depression, anxiety and psychosis. He is also able to offer training to groups of staff on request and will be providing training as part of the 'Horizons' Staff Development Programme.

Students can be referred to Francis through the Counselling Service, Learning Support Service or Medical Centre for an assessment as well as short-term support.

He is managed by the University Counselling Service and is a member of the Community Mental Health Team for Bath South. Francis is based in Wessex House 8.24 and can be contacted on ext 4796.
