A chance to learn what's on offer at the University of Bath in Swindon

Local people can find out how they can trace their family tree, learn about English history and get their business up and running at an open day organised by the University of Bath in Swindon.

The University is to host an open day for local residents at the Oakfield campus as part of Adult Learners’ Week 2005. The event will run from 10am-12 noon tomorrow (Wednesday 25 May); no booking is necessary.

The open day will enable local residents to find out about many of the courses available at the University. For example:


Launched in 1992, Adult Learners’ Week is coordinated by the National Institute of Adult Continuing Education and celebrates all forms of adult learning. It recognises the importance of continued education and that learning does not end when people leave school.
