Local business people invited to free marketing seminar

Local business people can find out how ‘marketing with a twist’ can help to drive a business forward, at a breakfast seminar and networking event at the University of Bath (Friday 15 December).

The event runs from 7.30am to 10.30am at Carpenter House, the University’s city centre location.

The seminar, organised by the University of Bath in Swindon’s Business Hub, will give ideas on creative marketing techniques that can raise a firm’s profile and help to sell its products and services.

Seminar speaker Eileen Holmes-Levers, Managing Director of a Berkshire-based PR company, In Press PR, will give people useful and practical ideas on how to plan and implement a marketing campaign to grow a business. She will help people to focus in on what they are selling and explain how to use the power of the press to publicise a business.

Mark Baines, from Bath-based marketing communications agency Marcom, will share his expertise in creative marketing and imaginative strategic thinking.

The seminar is part of the Business Hub’s Leadership and Management programme, funded by the European Social Fund. Further seminars with leading business speakers will run each month to June. The events are free to attend and are open to all local business owners and managers, subject to confirmation of eligibility for the programme. Priority for places will be given to businesses with up to ten employees.
