Bath conference: New frontiers in cellular imaging

A day-long conference on the new and emerging opportunities in cellular imaging will be held at the University in January to mark the formal opening of the new Bioimaging Suite in the Centre for Electron Optical Studies (CEOS).

The Suite was created with funds from the Wellcome Trust and the University, and will be opened by the Vice-Chancellor at the conference on Wednesday 10 January 2007.

The Bioimaging Suite has been in operation since June 2006 and is providing research facilities in confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and calcium imaging. Dr Adrian Rogers, an expert in confocal microscopy, also joined the Bioimaging Suite and CEOS in June 2006.

The conference will highlight state-of-the-art applications in bioimaging and also provide technical information on the latest instruments.

The conference is free, but people wishing to attend need to register with Ursula Potter.

The conference programme is available on the Bioimaging Suite homepage (see related links).
