The evolution of corporate social responsibility

The School of Management’s Centre for Business, Organisations and Society, is launching a new seminar series with a lecture on the evolution of corporate social responsibility on Thursday 16 February.

The seminar, Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholders: The Response project, will given by Maurizio Zollo, Deputy Director of the INSEAD Business in Society Research Centre.

Mr Zollo, who holds the Shell Fellowship in Business and the Environment at INSEAD, is currently studying the evolution of corporate social responsibility and the factors affecting adaptability. The Response project is funded by a €1.1 million research grant from the EU Commission. Mr Zollo’s work has been widely published in journals such as the Strategic Management Journal and the Academy of Management Journal.

The business and society seminar series aims to bring first-class scholars from around the world to stimulate and support research and teaching in School of Management and throughout the University.

The lecture will take place on Thursday 16 February at 4.30pm in 8W 3.14. There will be eight seminars in the series and suggestions for speakers are welcome.
