Take the RICE Memory Challenge: March 6-12 2006

• How good is your memory?
• Can you remember more than your friends and colleagues?
• Are you up to the challenge?

Test your memory skills against others in your workplace and help us to support vulnerable older people.

What is RICE?

RICE provides care and support to local people and their families who are living with Alzheimer’s disease.

RICE is based in the grounds of St Martin’s Hospital and is noted for its pioneering research into ageing, memory problems and the impact this has on the quality of life of older people, especially those with conditions like dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Locally we run memory clinics and carers courses providing advice, care and support to patients and their families.

What is the Memory Challenge?

RICE relies on voluntary donations and fundraising events like the Memory Challenge to support its important work.

If you want to support this campaign, please complete and return the response coupon for your Memory Challenge Pack. (See Related Links).

The pack contains the challenges, instructions and information about RICE. It is designed to be a quick and fun challenge that can be done in the workplace. We suggest donations of £2 per person to take part.

There are now more people over the age of 65 than under 16 years of age (2002 census) so the need for research into memory concerns is greater than ever. Please add your support and help RICE ensure that we continue our important work to improve the quality of life for older people.
