Up-to-date travel information page is launched

A new web page giving up-to-date information on conditions of travel to the University has been launched.

The 'Getting here' page now features a local travel news section with information on road, rail and bus delays. Staff, students and others travelling to and from the University are encouraged to report delays so that this can be kept as current as possible.

The page, initially launched in 2002, has recently been redesigned by Pete Herat in the Marketing & Communications Department’s Web Team.

"Providing information about travel isn't just a one-way process," says Pete. "Please let us know details of traffic, bus and rail hold-ups so that the page can be kept up-to-date as possible.”

Staff and students are encouraged to email the Marketing and Communications Department at or phone 01225 384220 or 01225 386017.

The new design closely follows that of the transport website where information on non-car modes of transport is available and all the sections have been updated. 'Quick links' are provided to route-finders, bus, coach, rail, taxi, park&ride operators and the University's transport site.
