Press Release - 05 July 2006

Free training: become a coach or mentor

People who would like to develop their coaching and mentoring skills are invited to join a free training and development programme run by the Business Hub at the Oakfield Campus of the University of Bath in Swindon.

To find out more about the programme, called Coaching and Mentoring for All, there are three introductory events running at the Oakfield Campus on 7 July, 26 July and 23 August 2006.

For experienced coaches and mentors who would like to work with local female entrepreneurs there is an introductory event on Wednesday 12 July.

The Coaching and Mentoring for All programme offers workshops with experts from education, business and sport; peer support; networking opportunities and a University accredited training course. It also gives the opportunity to put new skills into practice, working with a local female entrepreneur in the early stages of setting up or running a business.

The accredited training course will run from mid-September to July 2007 in weekly morning or evening sessions and workshops will run throughout the year.

The course is run in collaboration with the Women’s Development Centre to support women’s enterprise development. The free course is partly funded by the European Social Fund which is supporting the Business Hub in its work with local businesses.
