University maintains position in top dozen UK universities in Sunday Times guide

The University of Bath maintained its position as one of the UK's top universities when it was ranked 11th in The Sunday Times University Guide, published yesterday.

The guide highlights the University’s record for securing graduate-level jobs for its students (ranking sixth nationally), and it is also in the top 10 nationally for graduate starting salaries, at an average of £20,165.

A University spokesperson said: “We are delighted to have maintained our position in the top dozen universities in the country in The Sunday Times guide. We have continued to perform well against institutions of a similar and larger size, showing that we are punching above our weight in both research and teaching.

“The University has always had strong links with industry, with many of our students spending a year on work-placement. This means our students are in high demand when it comes to securing a first job after graduation.

“This year marks the University’s 40th anniversary. The fact that we are in the top 10 in both The Guardian and The Times university guides as well, is testament to the enormous achievements and progress made by our staff and students since our beginning.”
