Local business people invited to free motivation event

Local business people are invited to kick start their motivation to succeed, in a free seminar, workshop and networking event at the University of Bath in Swindon (Tuesday 30 January).

The seminar, organised by the University’s Business Hub, will help business people to understand more about what motivates them, provide the tools to stay motivated and share experiences of how motivation impacts on success at work.

The seminar runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm on Tuesday 30 January at the Oakfield campus. Crèche facilities are available.

Seminar speaker Sue Stockdale, founder of motivation company Mission Possible, is a businesswoman, author and adventurer and specialises in motivating individuals and groups. In 1996 she became the first British woman to walk to the magnetic north pole and has also participated in several other polar expeditions. Her academic achievements include an MBA in Entrepreneurship and her advice on motivation regularly appears in the media.

Graham Hutt is a human resources consultant who will share his expertise in the best way to carry out change management and performance management. He provides consultancy to organisations in all sectors of business and he regularly provides recruitment, development and coaching support to his clients.

The seminar is part of the Business Hub’s Leadership and Management programme, funded by the European Social Fund. Further seminars with leading business speakers will run each month until June. The events are open to all local business people but priority for places will be given to businesses with up to ten employees.
