Faculty of HSS launches generic skills training programme

Next week, on Tuesday 23 October, the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences launches its 2007/08 Faculty Generic Skills Training programme for Research Students.

The three-day autumn programme includes sessions on Preparing for the Viva, Writing your thesis (less painfully), End Note, and Doing a PhD: Lesson Learned, as well as a one-day workshop on Nvivo run by a leading expert from the ESRC funded Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Networking Project based in Surrey.

Further three-day programmes will be arranged for January and April 2008.

A Welcome Reception will launch this year's programme (12.30pm on Tuesday 23 October) and all supervisors and research students in the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences are invited to attend.
