Professor Pettigrew made Companion of the Association of Business Schools

Professor Andrew Pettigrew, Dean of the School of Management, has been made an inaugural Companion of the Association of Business Schools (ABS).

The Companionship award was created to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the ABS, and it is the highest honour given by the association.

It recognises a significant contribution towards the leadership of UK business schools, business and management education, and policy development within the sector.

It also recognises achievements which are outstanding and innovative and which demonstrate distinction and high quality.

Professor Michael Osbaldeston, Director of Cranfield School of Management and Chair of the ABS was delighted to be able to recognise the Companions’ achievements and said:

"For the current member business schools and the Executive of ABS, the Companions represent an impressive pool of experience upon which we can draw in future, as well as a way of celebrating their previous contribution and success.

“I would like to congratulate them on their achievements and I am pleased that their contributions to the business school world have been formally recognised.”
