New part-time courses for spring

Courses in art & design, archaeology, creative writing and IT are all on offer as part of next spring’s new programme of part-time courses run by the University of Bath in Swindon.

The weekly courses cover a range of subjects and term starts on 11 February at the Oakfield campus.

To improve your holiday snaps, sign up to ‘On Location’ - the Essentials of Travel Photography. Professional photographer Roger Vlitos will help students to develop the skills and insight for essential to taking evocative and enticing holiday photos.

Archaeology and history enthusiasts can explore the churches, castles and timber buildings of Medieval Britain, in Elements of a medieval landscape. Students will study the architecture to investigate the relationship between worship, authority and everyday life, taking fieldtrips to Old Sarum and Ludgershall.

Amateur artists can learn to draw an accurate likeness of people, animals, the nude and portraits in Figurative Drawing: Taking a Closer Look. Students will explore a variety of drawing media and find inspiration in the work of professional artists.
