New access map available online

As part of the University's Disability Equality Scheme a group of staff and students across campus have been developing an access map, which is now available on the website.

The map indicates access routes through the campus for those in wheelchairs and with impaired accessibility, as well as providing details of accessible parking, lifts and toilets.

Morag Kiziewicz, Learning Support Manager, said "Thank you to all those students and staff who have been involved in this project. The new access map is a welcome development which will prove useful for disabled staff, students and visitors.

"This map is a beginning, and more information will be added over time as we are constantly developing and improving access to the campus."

If you have an access difficulty on campus, please report this to the Estates helpdesk. (See Related Links section)

Further information for disabled staff is available from the Self Organised Disabled Staff group (SODS), by emailing in confidence, sods@bath.ac.uk, (See Related Links for the SODS website, which contains the aims and objectives of the group).

Disabled students can obtain further information and help from the Students' Union ACCESS group.
