Staff meeting regarding the Swindon Gateway project

Following last week's recommendation from the University Senate to withdraw from the Gateway project at Swindon, a meeting is to held this Thursday for all staff.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Glynis Breakwell, invites staff to attend a meeting at 1.15pm on Thursday 22 February 2007 in 5West 2.3 to outline the current position and to seek their views.

The views of the University community will then be reported to Council.

An additional staff meeting is being held at the Oakfield Campus tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday) with Professor Ian Jamieson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor.

The campus trades' unions have already met with the Vice-Chancellor to be informed formally of Senate's recommendation which will be considered by Council next week.
