New course for staff: Writing for the web

A course for web maintainers and others who regularly write material for the University’s website is being offered.

The course, run by Web Editor/Designer Pete Herat, will look at how people read information differently on web pages, compared to print. Participants will get the chance to rewrite wordy copy as part of the two-hour course.

The Marketing & Communications Department is running the course as part of the University's new web strategy, which calls for content on pages to be well written, with the web specifically in mind.

The first course takes place on Thursday 22 February, 10am-12 noon. Those interested should contact Tony Trueman, Head of Communications, to reserve a place.
