Norway conference for enterprising students

Two students from the Bath Entrepreneur’s society, BANTER,will be travelling to Norway next week to attend a conference that will help them develop the University’s Student Business Plan Competition in the future.

Bokani Tshidzu and Adam Gundry will travel to the MIT $100K Global Startup Workshop with Siobain Hone, Student Enterprise Co-Ordinator in the Students’ Union, where they will pick up tips on how the competition, the 2007 final of which was held yesterday, can be developed.

As part of their trip, funded by the Enterprise Education Steering Group, the team will be writing a blog so that other students interested in enterprise activities can share their experiences.

“We are very excited by the prospect of travelling to Norway, but also relishing the opportunity to find out how we can make the competition even better next year,” said Bokani, a second year politics with economics student.

“The BANTER blog will be a great way to keep other people at the University in touch with what we are doing – but will also be of interest to other student enterprise groups throughout the UK.”

Adam, a second year mathematical sciences student, has helped develop the Student Business Plan Competition and Student Enterprise Conference websites, and will be maintaining the blog throughout the visit.
