The British Army today: join the debate

Students and staff are invited to join senior members of the British army to debate the role of defence and Britain’s armed forces.

The Army Presentation Team will give a lively multi-media presentation and engage in debate on The British Army today: a force for good?

Hosted by the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences, the event will take place on Thursday 26 April from 10.30am-12.05pm in 4E 3.10.

Brigadier Jolyon Jackson, commander of 43 (Wessex) Brigade, and Colonel Greville Bibby will lead an explanation of key points about the army:

The audience will then be invited to debate the issue, with discussion facilitated by Dr Dibyesh Anand, lecturer in International Development, and Professor Geof Wood, Dean of the Faculty.

There will be an opportunity for one-to-one discussion with members of the Army Presentation Team from 12.15pm until 13.00pm.
