Free seminar asks why supervision?

Local business people are invited to find out about the benefits of supervision in a seminar organised by the University of Bath in Swindon.

The Why Supervision? seminar is organised by the University’s Business Hub and will take place on Monday 14 May from 7pm at the Oakfield campus.

Julie Hay, Chief Executive of training consultancy AD International, will define supervision and explain its role in prompting reflection and improving personal awareness.

The session will also include a short introduction to the European Mentoring & Coaching Council, of which Ms Hay is President, and information about why the organisation is important to the coaching and mentoring profession.

Ms Hay has over 40 years experience in industry, government and the public sector. She specialises in combining different approaches to provide innovative and tailored initiatives relating to organisational and individual transformation, culture change, team-building and relationship skills.

She has presented workshops worldwide for over 25 years and is noted for her ability to take complex theories and explain them in ways that are clear, practical and stimulating.

The seminar is part of the Business Hub’s Coaching and Mentoring for All programme, funded by the European Social Fund. Further seminars with leading business speakers will run each month until October.

The events are open to all local business people but priority for places will be given to people from businesses with less than 250 employees. To book a free place see the Related Links section.
