Cake & book sale to raise money for Romanian Orphanage trip

A cake and book sale is taking place in Wessex House Foyer on Thursday 10 May between 12.30-2.00pm to raise funds for a Romanian orphanage.

The sale is being organised by Liz Bugg and Nikki Sugg, two members of University staff from the Finance Department who will be part of a group from the University that are going to visit an orphanage this summer.

The orphanage in Comanesti (in the north-east of Romania) is called Casa Lumina and is run by British charity Cry in the Dark. It is home to 24 children aged from around 12-20 who have severe disabilities. The group from Bath organise games and activities for the young people.

Liz and Nikki would be delighted to receive any donations of cakes or books, and look forward to seeing you on Thursday.
