Coaching workshop gives a sporting perspective

Local coaches and mentors can learn from the lives of elite sports stars, in a free workshop at the University of Bath in Swindon on Monday 6 August (7pm).

The event will be led by Keith Sharpe, a performance, career and lifestyle coach who has spent over seven years working with some of the UK’s top sportspeople, including current Olympic champions, England cricketers and footballers.

Entitled Improving Potential: Life as an Elite Performer, the workshop will explore the attributes of leading sportspeople and identify the support mechanisms in place within sport. It will also discuss how to develop and support all individuals to perform to the best of their ability.

Mr Sharpe’s career and lifestyle company, called No More Drama, has evolved from successfully working with Olympic and professional sportsmen and women to enhance their performance and lifestyle. The company empowers individuals, teams and organisations to perform and manage change.

The seminar is part of the Business Hub’s Coaching and Mentoring for All programme, funded by the European Social Fund. To book a free place see the Related Links section. Further seminars with leading speakers will run each month until October.
