Successful bids for CPD development funding announced

The University’s Task & Finish Group is pleased to announce the successful bids for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) funding.

This scheme, established in October and promoted on the University homepage, will improve the way we meet the training and development needs of regional and national employers.

The fund supports applications for large grants (worth up to £10k) to develop new collaborations with employers to the point of delivery, as well as small grants (worth around £500) to explore future potential collaborations.

A number of proposals were received and considered by the Task & Finish Group convened to take forward the external delivery of CPD across the University. The Group is pleased to be able to fund the following projects:

Funding of £10k

Funding of £500

Dr Faith Butt, Chair of the Task & Finish Group, said: “We are delighted to be able to support these projects which will enhance the University’s links with employers across the region.”

The next call for bids to the fund is likely to be announced in the spring. For further information, please contact Rachel Owens.
