Have your say on University campus development

Local residents and businesses are invited to the second-stage of a public consultation on the development of a new masterplan for the University of Bath’s Claverton campus over the next 15 years (2-15 April, The Library & Learning Centre, Claverton campus).

The University will invite all stakeholders, including national bodies such as the National Trust, to a series of open sessions where they can have their say on the new plans. The event is part of ‘Planning for Real ® ’, an established consultation method which provides the public with an interactive way of expressing their views.

Located in the main foyer of the University’s Library & Learning Centre, at the heart of the campus, the exercise will include a large scale model of the University campus and the surrounding land.

The University recognises the importance of creating a well-informed plan which will allow it to continue to develop as one of the leading sites for research and teaching in the UK, whilst coexisting with its neighbours and adding benefit to the City of Bath as a whole.

The consultation will provide the University with a clear indication of people’s views on the positive and the negative impacts of the University, which will inform its future development plans. The consultation exercise will run for approximately two weeks, to give the local community and students the opportunity to get involved. Dates and times as follows:

People will be on hand to guide visitors through the process. For any queries please contact Jennifer Joynt, details above.

The University of Bath is one of the UK's leading universities, with an international reputation for quality research and teaching. View a full list of the University's press releases:
