Bath ninth in new quality-of-life index

Halifax-Times Higher Education ranks the University of Bath ninth in a new UK university quality-of-life index. The index is intended as a tool for job-hunting academics and takes account of:

Bath is one of only two UK universities to appear in the top ten in both the new quality-of-life index and the Guardian University League Table 2008.

Professor Glynis Breakwell, Vice-Chancellor, commented: “We frequently acknowledge the important role that the City of Bath plays in recruiting our students.

“This index reminds us how well the City and the University perform in the quality-of-life factors that influence job choices.

“We continue to work closely with the City to ensure that Bath remains a desirable place to live, work and study.”
