4,000 expected to attend University Open Day

Open Days are very important to the life of the University; a positive experience of a visit to the campus is one of the most important factors in determining whether applicants decide on Bath as their first choice university.

We are expecting over 4,000 visitors (prospective students and their parents) to attend on Thursday 18 September, most of them will arrive by car from approximately 9.30am, so there will inevitably be extra pressure on parking spaces.

Overflow parking will be on the playing field beside West car park, which will be accessed down a ramp from that car park and also on the playing field to the south of East car park.

In order to minimise traffic flow through the campus, access to the sports field at the Eastern end of the campus will be from East car park where a driveway has been created.

The fire road at the rear of the Founders Sports Hall will remain open to two-way traffic and will provide access to north zone parking for staff.

Please can members of staff park in their normal car parks but if they experience any difficulty, they should speak to one of the extra Security Officers who will be on duty to assist them.

Thank you for your understanding and apologies are offered for any inconvenience caused.
